it's in this future, so maybe the fan could, assuming that there are fans...ok he did just hang himself...so I guess he hung himself off the archway, not necessarily on a fan. I see your point.

oh, well...oops, yeah, my bad.

So, I'm doing the summer assignment, and I love the way Huxley split up the book by the settings. There is a lot to talk about settings.

Edit: I have some questions: It is Lenina that John's whipping at the end, right? Huxley never mentions a name, but the description matches, he goes insane when he sees at her, and she calls for Henry to protect her from John before Henry promptly runs away like a pansy. Whether it is Lenina or not, does he kill her in his attack? That would definitely drive him to hang himself, so the ending would make more sense.
